The Inaugural Composers Forum

On April 5, 2025, Hearing in Color and La Caccina hosted the very first Composer’s Forum as a part of the Hearing in Color Young Composer Residency. We celebrated our young composers Nyandeng Juag and Madeline Clara Cheng at Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center with a combination of live presentations of their compositions and interviews conducted by Artistic Director of La Caccina Carling Fitzsimmons and Founder and Artistic Director of Hearing in Color LaRob K. Rafael. It was an event filled with thoughtful discussion, powerful performances, and community building.
